On September 5:

● At 7:30 p.m., officers arrested Steven H. Cotter, 28, of Monroe, at a residence in the 1300 block of 17th Street, on a warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation. Cotter was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On September 6:

● At 4:49 p.m., officers responded to a medical call in the 1800 block of 14th Avenue. An investigation into the incident resulted in the arrest of Kenin L. Stewart, 39, of Monroe, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Stewart was also taken into custody on a probation hold from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Stewart was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On September 7:

● At 2:00 a.m., officers were called to a report of a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in the 1700 block of 8th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Jose Ortiz Majeno, 42, of Monroe, was traveling southbound in the 1700 block of 8th Avenue, when Ortiz Majeno lost control, continued south through the dead end street and down a steep embankment. The vehicle collided with railroad tracks and became disabled, and during attempts to drive away, the vehicle caught on fire. Ortiz Majeno attempted to flee the area on foot but was located by officers. Monroe Fire assisted with the scene and the vehicle was eventually made safe and towed away. The investigation led to arrest of Ortiz Majeno for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-2nd offense. Ortiz Mejano was also cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle, and operating after revocation due to an alcohol related conviction. Ortiz Mejano was later released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.

 ● At 2:14 a.m., while investigating a motor vehicle accident, officers interceded in a nearby altercation in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Luke L. Goodwillie, 45, of Monroe, on charges of 4th Degree sexual assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and making threats to law enforcement officers. Goodwillie was confined in the Green County Jail without bail pending a court appearance.

On September 10:

● At 10:48 a.m., officers arrested Daniel J. Ubersox, 39, of Blanchardville, in the 800 block of 14th Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole, for a probation violation. Ubsersox was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings. 

● At 6:53 p.m., officers arrested Aaron N. Mazahreh, 47, of Monroe, in the 2300 block of 16th Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for six counts of felony bail jumping. Mazahreh was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On September 11:

● At 6:06 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 2000 block of 17th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Zachary P. Bennett, 22, of Monroe, was northbound on 17th Avenue, and collided with a legally parked unoccupied vehicle owned by a Monroe man. Bennett then left the scene, but called to report the accident shortly after. Bennett’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. The other vehicle sustained moderate damage. Bennett was cited for inattentive driving, non-registration of a motor vehicle and operating with no insurance. Bennett was released pending a court appearance.
