Community meeting today to focus on creativity, culture

MONROE - Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission in coordination with Green County, the City of Monroe, and University of Wisconsin-Extension is hosting a community meeting today.

The Creativity, Culture, and Community Resources meeting will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the Green County YMCA, 1307 2nd St.

Over the next few months several community meetings will be held on each of the seven topics in the City of Monroe's Comprehensive Plan Update (2025). The second Creativity, Culture, and Community Resources meeting will be focused on creating new goals, objectives and strategies.

Savannah Ernzen, an Associate Planner for SWWRPC will be guiding and moderating the meeting. Any Monroe resident interested is encouraged to participate and attend.

SWWRPC, also in coordination with Green County, the City of Monroe and UW Extension is hosting another community meeting Thursday.

The Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources meeting will be held from noon to

2 p.m. at the Green County Humane Society, N3156 Wisconsin 81.
