Green County Board
Each member of the Green County Board of Supervisors is up for election on the April 1 ballot. All incumbent candidates are running again and are challenged, except in District 5, where Supervisor Mary Alice Hart has announced she will not seek re-election. Kate Maresch is running for that seat.

Education: Self taught from the school of experience. A business owner for 30 years along with a shop worker for 15 years.
Occupation: Co-owner with brother, Brad, of Bedrock Bovines a 1,000-cow dairy with 2,600 acres of cropland. Silent co-owner with wife's drive-through Bullwinkle's and their new venture, Main Street Station, in Brodhead.
Previous elected positions held: Two-year term, District 13 County Board
What are the top issues facing this district/board and how would you work to resolve them?
Pleasant View Complex: older, outdated structure with numerous issues. Tough decisions need to be made with limited funds and a very stagnant economy.
County and Township infrastructure system: Ever increasing traffic with increasing wear and deterioration of roads and bridges. Trying to maintain and replace surfaces and bridges with limited funds in a society where everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere.
What are other key issues facing the district/board, and how would you work to resolve them?
Maintaining a balanced budget. Extremely difficult in a society where we all want raises and benefits (health insurance), while on the other hand, we don't want to accept higher taxes and living experiences.
