MONROE - Green County Cheese Days is seeking an ambassador for the 2018 festival.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old by Nov. 1, 2017, and should demonstrate knowledge of and/or experience and interest in the dairy or cheese industry. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in communications, marketing and/or public relations. Applicants should be willing to learn about cheesemaking past and present, along with the history of the festival. Applicants must be residents of Green County or employed in Green County.
Official duties of the Cheese Days ambassador begin with crowning at the 2018 Cheese Days Kick Off scheduled for Nov. 6. The ambassador will represent the festival at state, regional and local events. Duties include speaking and presentations, interviews, networking, making public appearances and establishing a social media presence.
