MONTICELLO — Zwingli UCC Brotherhood, Monticello, is beginning its’ ninth year with trash pick-up along their assigned portion of Wis. 69.

The Brotherhood joined the “Adopt-A-Highway” program in 2013 and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) requires three road clean-ups per year between April 1 and Oct. 31. The WDOT provides signs, safety vests, “People Working” placards, and bags in exchange for the work performed.

The Brotherhood has, since the beginning of their program, cleaned 160 miles of highway; expended 406-man hours, and removed 203 large bags of garbage.
