STEVENS POINT - Claire Wyttenbach, Monroe, was one of 20 University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students honored with the James H. Albertson Medallion, the highest recognition of student achievement at the university.
The Albertson Medallion acknowledges excellence in graduating students' leadership, academics and extracurricular activities.
Winners, who also are Chancellor's Leadership Award honorees, are chosen through a nomination process involving student organizations and faculty members. Less than 1 percent of each year's graduating class earns the honor.
Wyttenbach, May graduate in dietetics with a minor in dance, is the daughter of Curt and Colette Wyttenbach. She served as co-president of the Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics, a leader with the Cru religious student organization, a site leader for Labor of Love and a member of The Cupboard food pantry steering committee and Colleges against Cancer.
Wyttenbach volunteers as a nutrition coordinator for Ministry Health Care's Community Weight Race, as a food inspector at the Portage County Culture Festival, team captain for Relay for Life and student representative for the Midwest Renewable Energy Association. She also took part in several dance shows. A member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies, she graduated magna cum laude.
