ALBANY - Albertson Memorial Library, 200 N. Water St., will host a Scholastic Book Fair event Monday, April 15 through 20, during National Library Week.
Funds raised from book sales at the fair will help the library purchase themed books and incentive prizes for its 2013 summer library program.
The book fair will be open during regular library hours: 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19 and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 20.
The book fair will offer specially priced books and educational products including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases and adult bestsellers, as well as the One for Books program, where customers can donate loose change to purchase books from the book fair. Scholastic matches monetary donations with a donation of up to one million books, which go to national non-profit organizations dedicated to helping families in need, such as the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc., and Kids In Need Foundation.
