NEW GLARUS - The New Glarus Police Department is seeking donations to fund the Bike Safety Rodeo on Saturday, May 18.
The department's goal is to raise money to purchase safety gear for the children. It has recently set up an account with the village called the Community Relations Fund, a revolving account that will be used by police for events such as the bike rodeo, Halloween safety program and other types of events for New Glarus youth. Spurred by the success of the Halloween safety program, the department wants to make the bike rodeo an annual event.
Monetary donations can be made payable to the New Glarus Police Department Community Relations Fund. Donations of goods will also be accepted.
