DARLINGTON — New Horizons Supply Cooperative, a customer owned business that operates in southwest Wisconsin, celebrated the kickoff to their complete renovation project on their Darlington Cenex location on state highway 23. New Horizons Supply Cooperation, Cenex, and Consolidated Construction joined with other project partners for a sledgehammer ceremony on Monday to celebrate the beginning of the project with a bang.
New Horizons Supply Cooperative will partner with Consolidated Construction Co., Inc. to contract the complete renovation, which will result in many upgrades to the current building. On the inside, customers look forward to the large walk-in beer cooler, upgraded restrooms, a new deli and kitchen, an entrance vestibule, and a coffee bar with improved guest seating. On the outside, the renovation will provide a new overhead diesel canopy with DEF at the pump.
“This remodel project has been talked about in our boardroom for the past two years,” Jason Cullen, the CEO of New Horizons Supply Cooperative recalled at the sledgehammer ceremony. “Our Darlington location has consistently been one of our top performing stores for the past decade, but we do see the need to update the store to provide our customers with a better experience. As a cooperative, it is important to always invest in our assets, and this project allows us to give the Darlington community a local business that all can take pride in. I believe this store will reflect what great teamwork and cooperative value looks like.”
