Monroe library summer programs still open

MONROE - Monroe Public Library announced upcoming Summer Library Programs at the library, 925 16th Ave. Readers of all ages can sign up through the end of July.

On July 16, Wild Wednesday will be held at 1:30 p.m. with the theme "Duke Otherwise." The event will include songs, stories and dancing. Wild Wednesday is for ages 3 and up.

On July 23, Wild Wednesday will be held at 1:30 p.m. with the theme "Fizz, Boom, Read." The event will include stories to share, celebrity readers, and jokes to tell and is open to students entering first through fifth grades only.

On July 30, Wild Wednesday will be held at 1:30 p.m. with the theme "Down at the Library Lab." The event will include hands-on science fun. The event is open to students entering first through fifth grades only.

Lunch Bunch Read Aloud will be available for students entering fourth through sixth grades. Participants may bring a brown bag or fast food lunch at 12:45 p.m. on Thursdays through July 31. No registration is required for the Lunch Bunch program, and students can bring a friend.

All programs at the Monroe Public Library are free and open to patrons.
