Literacy Council gets grant

MONROE - The Literacy Council of Green County, Ltd. recently received a grant from the Clifford & Dorothy Reasa Charitable Fund of the Monroe Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc., to support a computer upgrade. The upgrade will enhance the learning experience and offer easier and faster teaching tools for the tutors and students utilizing the one computer owned by the Council. The Literacy Council of Green County, Ltd. has also received a grant made possible through the Monsignor Thomas F. Campion Charitable Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc.

The grant will help the Literacy Council provide person-to-person opportunities for anyone wishing to improve skills in reading, writing, and speaking English at no cost.
