MONROE - Fr. Mike Klarer, pastor emeritus of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, will celebrate the 35th anniversary of his ordination.
A Mass of Jubilee celebration will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Victor Church, Monroe Liturgy. A reception and buffet dinner will be held at 4:30 p.m. at St. Victor School Gym and Parish Grounds. To RSVP, call 608-325-9506.
Klarer was born and raised in Monroe. He is the son of the late Emil and Marcella (Kammerude) Klarer.
Klarer was ordained June 1, 1979 by Bishop Cletus Francis O'Donnell, Second Bishop of Madison, at St. Raphael Cathedral, Madison. He received a Master of Arts in marriage and family therapy at Alliant University, San Diego, Cali.
