Allan and SonjaLou Wire, Argyle, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 9, at The Toy Train Barn, between Monroe and Argyle. Friends and relatives are asked to gather at 10:30 a.m. prior to the couple renewing their vows at 11 a.m. A pig roast lunch and disc jockey will follow.
Wire and SonjaLou Gutzmer were united in marriage May 3, 1959, at the Woodford Methodist Church.
They have four children, Betty (Douglas Prien, fiancé) Parkinson, Monroe; John Wire, Argyle; Lynn Black, Boron, Calif.; and William Wire, Belleville. They also have seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
