LENA — Adkins Energy has again teamed with CoBank, the company’s finance partner, to support area education with a donation of $10,000.

The Lena-Winslow School District and Highland Community College are this year’s recipients of $5,000 donations as part of CoBank’s “Sharing Success” program. CoBank matched Adkins’ $5,000 donation to double its impact in the community.

The school district will use its $5,000 gift, along with donations from other area businesses, to update its science labs and purchase up-to-date equipment.

HCC will use its $5,000 donation to support the update and expansion of the agriculture program training and research facility, which includes purchasing a spray application simulator and planter and building renovations.
