ALBANY — The Evansville and Albany Sports Boosters are working together to help raise funds to support their school athletic programs. The golf tournament this year will be held Saturday, June 29 at the Evansville Country Club.

The annual golf outing is the only community fundraising event; the primary fundraising is done by running concessions stands at school sporting events.

Besides providing financial support for all of the athletic programs by working with the athletic director to determine items with the greatest need, the boosters also provide two college scholarships each year.

Those who sponsor a hole will receive a 20x10 inch sign with business name that will be placed at the tee of the hole sponsored.

The “scramble T-shirt” tradition will continue. For an additional charge, the business name will be printed on the back of the shirt to advertise all year.

Those interested in participating in the tournament can sign up at the Evansville Country Club. There are team and individual prizes along with the opportunity to win a prize for a hole-in-one on a participating par 3 hole.
