NEW GLARUS — Reagan Mimetz committed to the Hawkeye Community College sports shooting team for the 2025 season.

Mimetz attends New Glarus High School. She has been competing in sports shooting since she was in 8th grade, shooting traps, skeet, and sporting clays. She will be an elementary education transfer next fall at Hawkeye CC, located in Waterloo, Iowa. 

“I have been shooting clay target sports since 8th grade,” Mimetz said. “As someone who has played traditional sports throughout high school (softball, basketball, and volleyball), I found the challenge of clay target sports unmatched in its ability to positively drive me in all facets of my life. I am really looking forward to continuing with my education at Hawkeye. The academic offerings matched with a top-tier Clay Target program, make it an obvious choice to continue on my shooting journey. Go RedTails!”
