New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — A truck vs. power pole accident without injuries was reported at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Railroad Street at 12:51 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. Area residences and businesses lost power as a result. The driver of the semi unit, Timothy E. Beek, 45, Ontario, Canada, was located and cited for inattentive driving.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Alexa R. Marty, 18, Browntown, reported injuries but declined medical attention at the scene after a one-vehicle crash in the Town of Cadiz at 9:29 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. She was eastbound in the W7600 block of County B when the front passenger side tire on her vehicle went flat. The vehicle entered the ditch and stopped abruptly. It was towed.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Sept. 27:

•  Julie K. Buehl, 59, Blanchardville, reported hitting a deer at 4:55 a.m. on Wisconsin 78, Town of Argyle. No injuries were reported. Buehl’s 2006 Chevrolet Colorado sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

•  Deborah M. Cullen, 55, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 8:28 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. No injuries were reported. Cullen’s 2006 Nissan sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

•  Brad W. Garthwaite, 67, Beloit, reported hitting a deer at 12:06 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. No injuries were reported. The 2015 Kenworth truck he was driving sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Friday, Sept. 28:

•  Howard D. Sutherland, 65, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 9:12 p.m. on County Shop Road, Town of Darlington. No injuries were reported. Sutherland’s 2002 Dodge sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

•  Miken D. Godfrey, 16, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 11:31 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. No injuries were reported. Godfrey’s 2002 Buick sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
