MONROE - A Monroe man remains free on an $8,000 signature bond and a $2,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance Tuesday in Green County Circuit Court for causing a child to view sexual activity, exposing a child to harmful material and sending threatening messages.
Bruce R. Jorgenson, 41, is charged with causing a child to view sexual activity, a class H felony, exposing a child to harmful material, a class I felony, and sending threatening messages, a class B misdemeanor.
He faces more than nine years in prison and up to $21,000 in fines, if convicted.
Court records allege he sent an explicit picture to a Monticello High School student's phone April 29 and a threatening message to her phone April 30 at the high school.
His preliminary hearing is May 13.
