Edward W. Hinderman, age 83 of Monroe, WI, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at The Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. He was born February 17, 1926 in Grant County, to Edward and Catherine (Droessler) Hinderman. Edward was united in marriage to Hildegard Schaefer on April 23, 1952 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville, WI. He farmed in the Darlington area and later retired to Shullsburg in 1984. In 1990, he moved to Monroe where they have resided since.
Edward is survived by his wife: Hildegard; four sons: David (Pam) Hinderman, Mark Hinderman, and Alan (Julie) Hinderman, all of Darlington, Kevin (Jane) Hinderman of Pulaski, WI; three daughters: Mary C. (Edward) Lorge of Elkhorn, WI, Kathleen (David) Minder of Browntown, WI, Katherine (Jeff) Falk of Monroe, WI; eighteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers: Roland Hinderman and Cecil Hinderman, both of Dickeyville, WI; and one sister-in-law: Bernice Hinderman of Dickeyville, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Dorrence in 1976; two brothers: Dorrence Hinderman and Dennis Hinderman; one sister: Vera Hinderman; one half-brother: Robert Timmerman; two sisters-in-law: Lucille Hinderman and Bernetta Hinderman.
Edward was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. He loved farming. Edward enjoyed playing euchre with his family, and was a true blue Brewers fan, who loved woodworking and fishing. He was always a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 730 Wells Street in Darlington, WI with Rev. Randy Budnar officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. A visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington where the Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
