Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Dec. 20:

●  Jami K. Boss, 42, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 7:24 a.m. on County W, Town of Monticello.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:05 a.m. on Dimmicks Road, Town of Monticello.

●  A deputy responded to assist the Darlington Police Department at 9:46 a.m. on Washington Street in Darlington.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 11:48 a.m. on Hillcrest Road, Town of Argyle.

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 4:16 p.m. on South Division Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 6:45 p.m. on East Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy came across a disabled vehicle at 6:57 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Kendall.

●  Phillip W. L. Kirschbaum, 30, Shullsburg, was arrested on a warrant at 8:31 p.m. on East Pious Street in Shullsburg. He was transported to the jail, then later released on a cash bond.

●  Charles A. Fitzgerald, 19, Galena, Illinois, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 8:57 p.m. on County O, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A suspicious person was reported at 11:19 p.m. on Liberty Street in Belmont.

On Friday, Dec. 21:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:37 a.m. on County D, Town of Fayette.

●  Deputies responded for a welfare check at 10:12 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Connor P. Mullooly, 19, Clinton, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 2:56 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 3:39 p.m. on Ferndale Road, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Melissa J. Doocy, 51, Cedar Falls, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 7:56 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  Jamie P. Dammen, 32, Argyle, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance, non-registration of an auto and a license-restriction violation at 9:28 p.m. on County D in South Wayne.

●  Fernando S. Suzara IV, 46, Morton Grove, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 10 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Brandon D. Broshous, 26, Juda, was cited for driving with a suspended license, no vehicle insurance and a suspended vehicle registration at 11:28 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 12:03 p.m. on Market Street in Belmont.

●  A theft was reported at 1:02 p.m. on Crawford Lane, Town of Benton.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 5:11 p.m. on South Judgement Street in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 8:55 p.m. on East Main Street in Shullsburg. Darlington police assisted.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a disorderly conduct case at 11:57 p.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

On Sunday, Dec. 23:

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with assisting a citizen at 2:34 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 11:48 a.m. on South Mound Avenue in Belmont.

●  Stephen I. Hird, 27, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 11:51 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 11:55 a.m. on West Liberty Street in Belmont. Belmont EMS assisted on scene.

●  Jeffrey S. Durante, 56, Elmhurst, Illinois, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 4:19 p.m. on County P, Town of Monticello.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 5:03 p.m. on Heller Court in Shullsburg.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 7:16 p.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Jacob R. Bastian, 26, Freeport, was cited for speeding at 8:04 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello.

On Monday, Dec. 24:

●  An animal bite was reported at 12:39 p.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard.

●  Davion T. Haywood, 21, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for violating license restrictions and for failure to stop at a stop sign at 6:20 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  A deputy assisted the Platteville Police Department at 7:08 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Platteville.

●  Charles W. Place, 35, Belmont, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after deputies responded at 9:28 p.m. to a report of disorderly conduct on Wood Street in Belmont. He was transported to the jail, where he was booked and later released.

●  A restraining order violation was reported at 9:41 p.m. on South Iowa Street in Shullsburg.

On Tuesday, Dec. 25:

●  Stephen A. Grisez, 22, Montfort, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 3:43 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings.

●  A deputy responded at 5:02 a.m. to North Mound Avenue in Belmont for an alarm.

●  An injured animal in the roadway was reported at 5:51 p.m. on Goodman Road, Town of Lamont.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 6:21 p.m. on East Center Street in South Wayne.

●  A noise complaint was reported at 7:17 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 10:11 a.m. on Highland Street in Belmont.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 12:43 p.m. on Main Street in Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 5:39 p.m. on Red Rock Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 7:22 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 8:27 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.


New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — On Tuesday, Dec. 18:

●  Jeffrey Brewer, 29, Madison, was cited for driving with a suspended registration and no seatbelt after he was stopped for an equipment violation at 1:40 p.m. on Wis. 69 at County W.

●  Kelly A. Gill, 41, Monona, was cited for speeding at 2:03 p.m. in the 1300 block of Wis. 69.

●  A 911 hang-up was reported at 2:38 p.m. in the 300 block of Cow Path Lane. There was no emergency.

●  Jeffrey M. A. Standiford, 22, Janesville, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance after he was stopped for equipment violations at 3:03 p.m. on Wis. 69.

●  Joshua J. Anderson, 38, New Glarus, was cited for having illegally tinted vehicle windows at 5:02 p.m. in the 400 block of Railroad Street.

●  Police found a dog running at large at 6:05 p.m. in the area of 5th Avenue and 6th Street. Police were unable to catch the dog, but the owner was located and warned for allowing the dog to run at large.

●  A 911 hang-up was reported at 6:19 p.m. in the 800 block of 10th Avenue. A child had accidentally called 911. There was no emergency.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19:

●  Patrice M. Walker, 33, New Glarus, was arrested on a warrant out of Logan County, Illinois, at 12:49 a.m. on Elmer Road. She was booked at the Green County Jail.

●  A dog was found at 2:42 p.m. and returned to its owner.

●  Disorderly conduct by juveniles was reported at 9 p.m. in the 500 block of 6th Avenue.

On Friday, Dec. 21:

●  An injured rabbit was reported at 2:14 p.m. in the 10 block of 14th Avenue. Due to its injury, the rabbit was dispatched and removed.

●  A dog was reported found at 7:28 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. Police went and got the animal and were able to locate the owner and return the dog.

●  Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office at 8:34 p.m. with suspicious activity involving a vehicle in the W4500 block of Argue Road.

●  Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at 10:56 p.m. in the 10 block of 9th Avenue. Everything was found to be OK.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Friday, Dec. 21:

●  Derek J. Holden, 34, Belleville, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery, both under the Domestic Abuse enhancer, after deputies responded to a report of a physical domestic disturbance at 1:06 a.m. in the 100 block of Railroad Street in Brooklyn, in which the suspect had left the residence. Holden was jailed pending bond or court.

●  Eric C. Holmes, 20, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol after deputies responded at 2:13 a.m. to a report of a vehicle being driven in a field in the N6100 block of Center Road, Town of Washington. A passenger in the vehicle, Ciara R. Hefty, 20, Belleville, was cited for underage drinking. Both she and Holmes were released to responsible parties.

●  Timothy E. Faber Sr., 66, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a revoked license (alcohol-related revocation) at 4:19 p.m. in the N6900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington.

On Saturday, Dec. 22:

●  Jeremy L. Hartwig, 31, rural Albany, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, battery and strangulation, all with the Domestic Abuse enhancer, after deputies responded to a report of a physical domestic disturbance at 11:09 p.m. in the N7300 block of County X in Attica. He was jailed pending bond or court.

On Monday, Dec. 24:

●  Christine R. Fonte, 48, Evansville, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 9:58 p.m. in the W2800 block of Wis. 92, Town of Exeter. She was also warned for having a defective headlamp.

On Tuesday, Dec. 25:

●  Michael R. Graff, 30, Madison, was arrested on a warrant after deputies stopped a vehicle at 12:23 p.m. in the N4800 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. He was jailed.
