Monroe library to host Tree Trimming Party

MONROE - The Monroe Public Library will host its annual Tree Trimming Party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The program is free and open to the public.

The Old-Fashioned Holiday workshop will be available to make ornaments for the tree and to take home. Crafts are available for kids ages 3 and up and their families. The Cookie Corner will offer cookies and punch, and festivities include stories and songs at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. in the Story Corner. New holiday books and old favorites will be available for check-out, and all families are encouraged to get a library card and keep reading at home.

The library will be accepting donations of batches of two dozen holiday cookies to be shared in the Cookie Corner. Cookies can be dropped off on Friday or anytime on Saturday.
