Monroe Clinic reports that, for now, it has enough supplies and capacity to care for patients.

MONROE — As of Feb. 1, Monroe Clinic will offer offers Cardiac Calcium Scoring at a discounted rate. 

The scoring is to measure risk for heart disease and is a promotion during February Heart Health Month activities. 

 The procedure involves a CT Scan that results in 70 to 90 images of coronary arteries. The screening takes less than 15 minutes and involves no injections or invasive procedures. It is easy, pain-free and doesn’t require the removal of any clothing. Experienced radiologists review the images and analyze the results. 

This test is recommended for men over age 40 and women over age 50 that have heart health risk factors such as family history of heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high stress levels, sedentary lifestyle, diabetes or smoking.

To schedule a screening call 608-324-1183. Monroe Clinic is offering walk-in Cardiac Calcium Scoring every Tuesday and Thursday in the month of February, from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
