United Way of Green County
With today's economic challenges, more people are struggling in our community than ever before.
The challenges that children, families and our community as a whole have faced over the past year have been significant. Many United Way funded agencies have seen a dramatic increase in requests for services and have, at the same time, been faced with substantial funding cuts. Local programs are being stretched to the limits to meet the need.
Despite these hardships, we are inspired by the spirit of generosity and human kindness we see demonstrated in Green County as people look for ways that they can help - ways that they can LIVE UNITED in our community.
LIVE UNITED are two simple words that call each of us to do what we can to help people in need.
LIVE UNITED means reaching out to help our neighbors. It is a constant reminder that a single act can have an enormous impact.
is an opportunity to help improve the quality of life in our community and to give help and hope for those in need.
YOU are the United Way and your contributions are helping families and individuals throughout Green County. You are helping families avoid eviction, providing free food that is letting those at risk put more money toward rent, providing financial counseling and referral services that are helping people who are struggling find their footing again.
You are providing home delivered meals to the aging and disabled population in our community, providing free dental care for youth in need and providing shelter, counseling and advocacy for victims of abuse along with prevention education programs designed to identify and break the cycle of relationship violence early in life.
The United Way is a local organization, driven by Green County residents and business people. When you contribute to the United Way you can be sure that 98 cents of every dollar stays in Green County to help people here.
Not only does a donation to the United Way have a positive impact today but, because we are working to invest in successful preventive programs that address the underlying cause of many local problems, your donation also significantly impacts the long range health of our community.
We're writing to ask for your help in making Green County the best that it can be for all families.
Please give to the United Way. Contributions can be sent to the United Way - P.O. Box 511 - Monroe, WI 53566
