To the Editor:

We are fortunate to have Joe Biden for president. When many things are bombarding him he knows what to do. But there is one thing I don’t think we know and John F. Kennedy told us what it is before he was taken from us so many years ago. Here is what President Kennedy said, “When I ran for the U. S. presidency I knew that this country faced serious challenges, but I could not realize nor could any man realize who did not bear the burden of this office, how heavy and constant would be those burdens.”

And President Kennedy never had to face the Republicans who I call Trumpicans. The only plan that they have is take away voting rights from Americans and end democracy while they are doing it.

President Joe Biden first prayed for those who died. Then he got vaccines out to the people all around this country. This he followed with a stimulus package for those hurt badly by COVID-19 some losing their businesses or their jobs. Joe got money for the poor especially children in poverty in this country and there were many millions. He knew that the 1% ultra-wealthy own 40% of the global wealth. Then they scream when taxed.

Now we are seeing a huge plan for infrastructure which will put people to work in well-paying jobs and fix our roads, bridges all across our country. I wish Sen. Joe Manchin would realize this is a very big country with a lot of roads and bridges that need fixing. He always gets in the way. What is his problem? He has $5 million in his bank account. Can’t he help others?

Joe Biden got about 120,000 Americans and Afghan people who helped our soldiers and their families out of Afghanistan. It was Donald Trump’s deal on February 29, 2020 that gave Afghanistan to the Taliban. Joe Biden kept planes coming until August 31st so our troops would get out safely. Now smaller planes are taking about 150 Americans and Afghans out at a time.

Americans are dying by the thousands from the Delta Variant. So President Biden mandated the vaccines to save them. They are lucky they have Joe.
