BRODHEAD - The Cardinals' late game rally fell short, as both Brodhead and Parkview lit up the scoreboard on Friday night in a game Parkview ultimately won 75-62.

While the host Cardinals were able to convert more field goals than the Vikings, it was a combination of free throws and 3-pointers that sealed Brodhead's fate.

Three players combined to score 60 of Parkview's 75 points, including 10 3-pointers distributed amongst them.

Also having solid games for their team were Ned Slocum, who scored a team-high 23 points for the Cardinals, and teammate Tjaden Sanders who added 19 points.

Brodhead (3-18, 1-14) closes out the season with a game against Big Foot on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Potosi 58, Pecatonica 54

PECATONICA - The Pecatonica boys basketball team saw an early lead fade late in their game against Potosi on Friday night, as the Chieftains rallied back to escape with a 58-54 victory.

Although the game was close to start, the Vikings put together two solid quarters to start the game, and by halftime they led 34-28.

But the start of the second half proved to be troublesome for the Vikings, as they were limited to only four third-quarter points. Seizing the opportunity, Potosi was able to get to the free throw line, take the lead, and hold on for the win.

Pecatonica (9-11, 4-5) was led in scoring by A.J. Hendrickson, who had a team-high 19 points. Drew Schliem added 10 points.
