COTTAGE GROVE - The Monroe High School boys golf team shot a 330 as a team at the Monona Grove Invitational on Thursday.
Final team standings were not available at press time.
Monroe junior Nick Baumann shot a team-best, 10-over-par 81 on the Oaks Golf Course. Both junior Devon Boeck and freshman Jack Rogerson carded an 82. Senior Tanner Thompson shot an 85.
"We left a few shots out there," Monroe coach Braden Rindy said. "I think all of the kids were disappointed. They thought we could have shot better. Each of them had a couple of birdies."
Monroe started the week Monday with a team title at the Stoughton Invitational and then lost a dual meet Tuesday to Monona Grove.
