BROOKLYN — Three injuries were reported Thursday after a driver didn’t stop at an intersection and struck another vehicle, sending its driver and two passengers to the UW Hospital in Madison.

John R. Clark, 47, Albany, was driving a truck southbound on Benson Road in the Town of Brooklyn just before 6 p.m. when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck an eastbound vehicle on Amidon Road, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.

Clark was uninjured in the collision.

However, the operator of the other vehicle, Loran A. Klitzman, 48, Brooklyn, was taken to the hospital via Brooklyn EMS. Cara A. Klitzman, 46, and Kelsey A. Klitzman, 20, both of Brooklyn, were passengers in the vehicle and were also transported by ambulance to the UW Hospital for injuries. All three were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and airbags deployed within the vehicle.

Loran Klitzman’s vehicle was severely damaged in the crash and was towed. The Brooklyn Fire Department, Belleville EMS, Evansville EMS and officers from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.
