Monroe AD cited for hit-and-run

MONROE - Monroe High School Athletic Director David B. Hirsbrunner, 45, Monroe, was cited for hit-and-run to an attended vehicle and operating left of center after he reportedly hit a semi tanker in New Glarus then fled to Monticello early Sunday morning, Jan. 19. Deputies and Monticello police responded to an accident at 2:28 a.m. Sunday in the N7400 block of Wis. 69 in New Glarus Township. According to a news release from Green County Sheriff's Department, Jason D. Hesselbacher, 39, Lena, was driving a semi tanker northbound on Wis. 69 when a southbound SUV operated by Hirsbrunner traveled left of center and hit the rear portion of the tanker.
