Library to host antique appraisal

MONROE - The Monroe Public Library will host the "Cash or Clutter? Antiques Appraisal at Your Library" event from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at the library, 925 16th Ave.

Mark Moran, former senior editor of multiple antique magazines, will be on hand to appraise various antiques.

Items that are being accepted for appraisal are: furniture, ceramics, glassware, vintage photographs, advertising, folk art, assorted toys, metalware, clocks and costume jewelry. Items not accepted for appraisal are: all weapons; coins and paper money; Beanie Babies; fine jewelry, including precious gems; pocket and wristwatches; and musical instruments, including violins and wind/reed instruments . Some acoustic and early electric guitars are accepted.

The event is free, but free will donations will be accepted.
