MONROE - Austin R. McDermott, 18, Browntown, was arrested on a charge of driving while under the influence of a controlled substance at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, in the 800 block of 6th Street. He was released pending court.
- Frederick W. Brandt, 88, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way after police responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 1:29 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at 21st Avenue and 16th Street. Brandt collided with a moped driven by Sherry L. Meighan, 40, Monroe. She was transported to the Monroe Clinic by Green County EMS.
- Young adult males were booted from Recreation Park, 1700 22nd Ave., for causing a disturbance in the Swiss A.L.P.S. Cheeseland playground at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 2.
- A resident in the 2500 block of 9th Street was warned 2:55 p.m. Monday, July 2, to remove or put a fence around a pool in the yard that exceeds the city's 18-inch water depth limit.
- A 12-year-old boy was warned for riding a bicycle on the sidewalks near 16th Avenue at 10th Street at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, after police responded to a complaint of people riding bicycles on the sidewalk. It is a violation of city code to ride bicycles on the sidewalks on or within a block of the Square downtown.
- A 28-year-old man was warned for setting off fireworks in the 700 block of 26th Avenue at 9:31 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, after police responded to a neighbor's complaint.
- A group of teens were warned at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, after police responded to a complaint that the teens were chasing each other and throwing things in East School Park, 2200 9th St.
- An unlocked, 22-inch boys' bicycle was reported stolen off a porch in the 700 block of 18th Avenue at 10:22 a.m. Wednesday, July 4.
- A resident in the 2200 block of 8th Street was warned at 8:19 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, to remove or put fences around a pool in the yard that exceeds the city's 18-inch water depth limit.
- An apparent attempted burglary was reported at 3:03 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, in the 700 block of 20th Street. There was damage to the door but nothing had been taken from the residence.
- A baseball glove was found in Honey Creek Park at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday, July 4. To claim, call dispatch at 329-2400.

MONROE - Jillian A. Gowen, 25, Blanchardville, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 7:24 p.m. Monday, July 2, after deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle crossing the centerline on Wisconsin 69 south of Monticello.
- Four people were cited after deputies responded at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, to a large fight in the N5000 block of the Sugar River Parkway in the Town of Albany. Cited for disorderly conduct were Justin M. Ewoldt, 26, Oregon, and Cody J. Perkins, 23, Fitchburg. Cited for underage drinking were Daniel J. Douglas, 20, rural Brodhead, and Keenan C. Walker, 20, Oregon.
- David J. Poisson, 30, Madison, was cited for trespassing after deputies responded at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, to a complaint of a person throwing things into the Sugar River in the W1200 block of Decatur Albany Road in the Town of Albany.
- Carly M. Cerny, Bradley A. Dorsey, Kayla J. Solles and Cody E. Kotthaus, all 20 and from Janesville, were cited for underage drinking after deputies responded at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, to a large fight at a campground in the N4600 block of County E in the Town of Decatur. Kotthaus was also cited for obstructing an officer and arrested and jailed on a Department of Corrections probation hold. The Albany Police Department and a Wisconsin DNR warden assisted.
- Kristina E. Janisch, 18, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a suspended license after deputies responded to a vehicle theft complaint in the W6700 block of County H in the Town of New Glarus at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 4. Janisch called the sheriff's department to turn herself in for stealing her parent's car and driving it to Monroe. She was released pending court.

DARLINGTON - Noe Velasco Santiago, 28, Belmont, was arrested on charges of driving without a license and without vehicle insurance at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, on Washington Street in Darlington. He posted bond and was released.
- Curtis C. Scaife, 28, Platteville, was arrested on domestic abuse-related charges of battery and disorderly conduct at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, after deputies investigated an incident that occurred on County XX in the Town of Belmont. Scaife was jailed.
- Juan Mendoza Sanchez, 20, Darlington, was arrested for multiple traffic violations and transported by Rural Medical Ambulance to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Willow Springs at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 3. He lost control after the 2002 Isuzu dropped of the right shoulder. He then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel down an embankment into the opposite ditch and roll over onto its roof. The vehicle was extensively damaged and towed. Mendoza Sanchez is charged with driving with no license, driving with no vehicle insurance, non-registration of a vehicle and failure to have control. The Darlington Fire Department assisted at the scene.
