MT Main, age 86 of Monroe, died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on May 29, 1930 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, the son of George and Mae (Wiltshire) Main. He graduated from Medicine Lodge High School in 1948. MT married Shirley Ann Nichols on December 22, 1954 in Kansas. He worked as a construction supervisor building refineries and oil rig platforms for many years. MT enjoyed many activities throughout his life, but especially enjoyed flying, bowling, painting, playing his guitar, and playing games with his family. MT was a member of the Driftless Area Artists.
He is survived by three daughters: Mary (Tom) Miller of Monroe, Laura Main of Laconia, NH, and Erica Main of Tulsa, OK; 2 grandchildren: Paul Miller of Madison, WI and Mark Miller of Los Angeles, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-4:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 in Wesley Hall at the Monroe Art Center.
