Matthew C. Kraft age 23, of South Wayne died on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in Magnolia Twps., in Rock County as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on April 7, 1989 in Monroe, the son of Randy and Sherri (Paul) Kraft. Matthew was a 2007 graduate of Black Hawk High School. He was currently employed at Family Fresh Pack in Monticello.
Matthew enjoyed basketball, bowling, softball, fishing, hunting and playing video games.
He is survived by his mother, Sherri (Jay) McCallum of South Wayne; father, Randy (Susan) Kraft of Brodhead, maternal grandparents: Nathan (Patricia) Paul of Choctaw, OK; paternal grandparents: Alvin (Patricia) Kraft of Red Oak, IL; sisters, Cheyenne Kraft of Monroe; Casey Lloyd and Samantha (Phil) Kessler both of Janesville; special friend, Frankie Swenson, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, aunt, Tina Paul and cousin, Timothy Harnish.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Ave. in Monroe, with Rev. Don Jamerson officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeport, IL.
Visitation will be Monday, February, 18, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe.
