Marge F. Will, age 91 of Monroe, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe. Marge was born on February 26, 1921 in Chisholm, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Korbar) Markle. She graduated from West Allis Central High School in 1939 and Marquette University School of Nursing. She married Melvin A. Will on September 28, 1946 in West Allis, WI. They lived in Fond du Lac, WI until moving to Monroe in 1959. Marge was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Clare Hospital from 1964 until retiring in 1988. She continued to volunteer at the hospital with over 3500 hours of service. Marge was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church, Monroe Country Club (Past President and golf chairman), Life Time member of St. Clare Hospital Auxiliary, Woman's Club of Monroe, ABC Homemakers, Lila Ludlow Reading Club, Women of the Moose #599, Questers-Swiss Attic Fanciers, Aqua Chem Retirees, Monroe Election Poll volunteer (20+ years), and was a National Historic Cheesemaking Center volunteer.
She is survived by her son, Chuck (Wendy) Will; and two grandsons, Peter A. Will and Samuel J. Will, all of Waukesha, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Markle; her husband, Melvin on October 6, 1997; and a brother, Arthur Markle in 1985.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church with Father Michael Klarer, Celebrant. Private family interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in her name for the Apostolate to the Handicapped, Green County Humane Society, and St. Victor Catholic Church.
