Kip A. Christensen, age 40, of Merrillville, IN passed away in Las Vegas, NV, Saturday, February 16th, 2013, after a fifteen-year struggle with Bi Polar 1 Disorder.
Kip was born on March 20th, 1972, the son of Keith and Louise (Anderegg) Christensen, Monroe, WI. Kip graduated from Orangeville Community High School in 1990 and quickly found his passion in the Casino Arena. He had a brilliant mind and was known for his integrity, unique vocabulary, infectious laugh and bright smile. Kip was a successful professional poker player that was well liked and respected in the "poker world." Kip was an avid Packer fan and looked forward to his annual fantasy drafts.
He is survived by his father and mother Keith and Louise (Anderegg) Christensen, Monroe, WI. Brother: Kurt (Donna) Lueck, Miami, FL. Sisters: Kathy (Daryl) Schindler, Baraboo, WI, Kristy (Rich) DeNisi, Flowermound, TX, Kara Christensen, Freeport, IL, Kelli (David) Balsman, Belvidere, IL. Kip was also that hilariously wonderful Uncle to Nephews: Brandon Schindler, Wade Lueck, Joshua and Alex Balsman. Nieces: Niki Schafer, Kristi Cacaido, Kira, Kim and Erin Lueck, Emily DeNisi, Courtney and Caitlin Fiene, along with several Great-nephews and nieces.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents: Arthur and Mildred Christensen, Willie and Ida Anderegg, and Brother: Kevin Lueck.
There will be a gathering of friends and family to celebrate Kip's life on March 9th, from Noon to Four at Brush Creek Golf Course, 2001 W. St. James Road, Orangeville, IL.
