Fire/EMS Calls: June 9, 2015

NEW GLARUS Police

NEW GLARUS - The New Glarus police and fire departments responded at 9:26 p.m. Wednesday to a fire alarm at New Glarus Elementary School. There was no fire found.

On Sunday:

• New Glarus Area EMS and police responded at 6:50 p.m. to a medical call in the 900 block of Glarner Drive.

• Loud voices coming from a residence in the 600 block of 7th Avenue were reported at 9:14 p.m. Police asked the homeowners to quiet down.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Gerald L. Brown, 44, Monroe, reported his vehicle caught fire at 5 p.m. Sunday in the W7600 block of County B in the Town of Cadiz. He told police his vehicle began smoking and he couldn't continue driving it. He got out of the car and observed smoke and flames coming from under the hood. The Browntown Fire Department extinguished the fire but the vehicle was a total loss.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Rural Medical Ambulance responded at 6:25 p.m. to a call on Catherine Street in Darlington.

• Blanchardville Ambulance responded at 8:07 p.m. to a call on East School Street in Blanchardville.

On Saturday:

• Belmont Ambulance responded at 10:20 a.m. to a call on Lake Joy Road in the Town of Belmont.

• Woodford First Response, Argyle Ambulance and police responded at 6:58 p.m. to a call on Whiteside Road in the Town of Wiota.

On Sunday:

• Rural Medical Ambulance, the Darlington Fire Department, the Darlington Police Department and other officers responded at 3 a.m. to a one-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Willow Springs. One person was injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• The Shullsburg Fire Department and police responded at 6:40 a.m. to a call on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.
