Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Brandon D. Maher, 32, and Ryan D. Hastings, 34, both of Freeport, were cited for possession of marijuana at about 9:30 p.m. June 25 following a traffic stop on Wis. 23.

●  Irvin Cruz-Vera, 24, Shullsburg, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license (second offense) at 3:13 a.m. June 27 on Wis. 81.

●  At 2:12 a.m. June 28 on Ann Street, Mitchell G. Frautschy, 35, Madison, and Mark R. Sivertsen, 34, Shirland, Illinois, were cited for operating an ATV or UTV while intoxicated and for ATV/UTV route violations.


Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On June 26:

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 5:05 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

On June 27:

●  A 911 hangup was reported at 2:46 p.m. on the Badger State Trail at County C. Police made contact with the person making the call. Everything appeared to be fine.

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 3:39 p.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Street. Police checked with the driver, who verified that he was a checkpoint for an exotic car rally traveling through the village.

On June 29:

●  Jeff Holewinski, 38, Monticello, was cited for excessive window tinting at 4:11 p.m. on Main Street at East Coates Avenue.

●  Cory A. Fritzenmeier, 31, Monroe, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 5:47 p.m. on North Main Street at East Coates Avenue.

●  Bradley D. Zweifel, 46, Belleville, was cited for a child safety restraint violation at 6:16 p.m. on East Coates Avenue at North Main Street.

●  Nicholas A. Paschal, 26, Monroe, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 6:49 p.m. on East Coates Avenue at North Main Street.

On June 30:

●  Daniel A. Kaiser, 36, Wisconsin Dells, was cited for illegal window tinting and possession of THC at 3:21 p.m. on Wis. 69.

●  Police responded to check welfare at 3:27 p.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. Contact was made and everything appeared to be OK at the residence.

On July 1:

●  Police observed a parking violation at 11:56 a.m. on South Pratt Road at East Wisconsin Avenue. The matter was resolved.

●  A phone scam was reported at 3:35 p.m. The caller tried to solicit payment from a Monticello resident for a computer virus protection plan update.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Jeffery K. Norton, 33, Monroe, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation and parole warrant at a residence in the 2800 block of 13th Street at 2:37 p.m. June 29. He was jailed pending further proceedings.

●  Matthew D. Gilbertson, 36, Monroe, was arrested July 1 in the 1400 block of 22nd Avenue on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant for a probation or parole violation. He was jailed.

●  Kristina A. Anderson, 30, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 12:24 a.m. July 2 following a traffic stop in the 800 block of 12th Avenue. She was also cited for possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and refusing to take a test for intoxication after her arrest. Additionally, she is charged with disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer, both misdemeanors, and throwing or discharging bodily fluids at public safety workers and two counts of attempted threat or battery of a law enforcement officer, all felonies. She was jailed pending court.
