Brodhead dentist Rodriguez installed as ADA trustee

ATLANTA - Dr. Julio H. Rodriguez, a dentist practicing in Brodhead, was recently installed as a trustee of the American Dental Association at the ADA's 158th annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rodriguez will serve on the ADA board of trustees as the trustee from the ninth district, which encompasses Michigan and Wisconsin. The board formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the members of the ADA's governing body, the House of Delegates.

Rodriguez has served as a member of the ADA's House of Delegates and has been the president, vice president and a trustee of the Wisconsin Dental Association. He is involved with other dental organizations, including the International College of Dentists, where he serves as the U.S. section region ninth regent. He is also a trustee of the college's foundation and is an international councilor of the college. Additionally, Rodriguez has been involved with the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American College of Dentists, the Hispanic Dental Society and the American Association of Community Dental Programs.

Rodriguez graduated from dental school at the National University of San Marcos in Peru in 1976. He served as a dental officer in the Peruvian Air Force before immigrating to the United States. He has practiced in Brodhead since 1983.
