MONROE — Makenzie Wuebben, daughter of Chris and Melissa Wuebben, received a $500 scholarship from the Friends of the Monroe Public Library. Makenzie submitted an essay to qualify.

The Friends of the Monroe Public Library sponsor two scholarships per year for Monroe seniors. The friends also purchase items for the library. This year an oversized scanner, along with items for the Youth section have been requested.
