September blood drive collects 167 units

MONROE - Two new donors were among those who donated at the bloodmobile in Monroe Sept. 16. There were 170 donors who presented, and 167 productive units were gathered, less than the 190-unit goal.

First-time donors were Lois DeNure and Julie Edgerton.

Milestone donors included Diane Thilander (1 gallon), Deb Thompson (15 gallon) and William Schmid (18 gallon).

Volunteers at the drive include National Honor Society, United Methodist Church women and community members.

The next bloodmobile will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25 at the United Methodist Church.
