NEW GLARUS — The New Glarus School District recognizes five student musicians selected to participate in the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) State Honors Music Programs.
The WSMA State Honors Project is one of the most prestigious opportunities available to student musicians in Wisconsin. Each year, it brings together some of the state’s top instrumentalists and vocalists for an intensive rehearsal and performance experience under the direction of nationally recognized conductors.
New Glarus students selected for this year’s WSMA High School State Honors include:
● Nala Williams. – Band (Flute)
● Sophie Smith – Treble Choir (Alto)
Students selected for the WSMA Middle Level State Honors include:
● Adayla Babler – Band (Flute)
● Anneliese Ramirez – Orchestra (Oboe)
● Val Miller – Orchestra (Bassoon)
Being selected for a WSMA State Honors ensemble is a significant accomplishment and reflects the students’ musical ability, dedication, and hard work.
