MONROE — The Monroe City Band will play its annual holiday concert at 3 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Monroe’s United Methodist Church.
The theme for this year’s concert is “A Sleigh Full of Music.” The concert includes some holiday favorites, including Sleigh Ride and Gesu Bambino. There are also some new holiday numbers, too. They are also performing some classic band literature. The concert will conclude with the annual sing-a-long.
In conjunction with Scherer Moving and Storage, the Monroe City Band co-sponsors a non-perishable food drive. Items collected from this drive benefit the Green County Food Pantry.
The band asks that spectators be mindful of good health practices while attending the performance. They want to provide a safe atmosphere that affords everyone the opportunity to spend time with friends and family this season.
