LENA - The second annual Garden Expo will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the Lena American Legion, 316 West Main St.
Local garden experts will offer advice and demonstrations on flower and vegetable gardening, lawn care and garden displays. Attendees can learn about natural and nutritious eating and ideas for creative foods for entertaining.
Exhibitors will include: Natural Water Gardens, The Red Barn, Calow Hardware, Lily Pad Gardens and Nursery, Precision Landscaping, DeVoe Floral, Natural Healing Express, Stephenson County Extension Office and Harlem Heights Garden Creations and Accessories.
Sandwiches will be offered by A.J.'s Lena Maid Meats. Also at the event will be a Garden Train display; items will be on display at the silent auction to bid on and there will be a raffle for door prizes.
All proceeds will be used to beautify the town of Lena. Admission is free but donations are accepted.
