DAR honors 'Good Citizen' student

MONROE - The Colonel Benjamin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented Lukas J. Wymer with a pin and certificate, honoring him as chapter's Good Citizen at its April 2 meeting.

Wymer, a Brodhead High School senior, entered the contest for Good Citizen along with 11 other seniors from the surrounding area. Wymer was chosen by his high school because of his dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.

Other Good Citizen candidates were John Kallgren, Albany High School; Mitchell Hartwig, Argyle High School; Merik Meythaler, Black Hawk High School; Jason Derby, Cuba City High School; Naomi Black, Darlington High School; Shelby Coffey, Monroe High School; Brianna Roesslein, Monticello High School; Cassandra Feller, New Glarus High School; Corinne Demler, Pecatonica High School; Chet Scott, Shullsburg High School; McKayla Trotter, Juda School District.

All candidates received a certificate and a pin to honor them.
