MONROE - The ninth annual Green County Master Showman was held at the 2014 Green County Fair. The event brings in the top senior, grades 10 and above, showman in the dairy, beef, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits and poultry departments at the fair. Two youth from dairy, beef sheep, swine and goats are invited to participate, and one youth is selected from the rabbit and poultry divisions.
During the event, 12 members from their respective 4-H Clubs and FFA chapters show each animal species in a round-robin format. Youth are judged by qualified showmanship judges from the Green County community. After six rotations of the event are completed, the scores are tallied and the member with the highest score becomes the Green County Fair Master Showman.

Goats: Cheyanna Becherer, Brodhead FFA; Travis Radzwilowicz, Browntown Busy Beavers 4-H

Becherer, daughter of Joe and Lisa Becherer, of Brodhead was named Reserve Master Showman.
Dan Ziegler, Agriculture and FFA Advisor from New Glarus was Master of Ceremonies for the event and former Green County Fairest of the Fair Theresa Wyss, sang the national anthem.
Showmanship judges included: Sandy Larson, Evansville, dairy; Tim Miller, Beloit, sheep; Nate McConnell, Clinton, swine; Tim Donovan, Monroe, beef; Jeremy Franseen, Clinton, goats; Kevin Germain, Albany, rabbits; and Jordan DeLong, Clinton, poultry.
The top 10 participants received medallions and t-shirts for being a qualifier in the event while the Reserve Champion winner received a medallion and plaque. The overall winner received a plaque as well as an embroidered fleece jacket.
