Somehow, it makes me feel just a little bit better about the cascade of snowstorms this winter to know that a record has been set.
With the overnight storm that barked more than it bit, Monroe has surpassed the memorable 1978-79 winter season as the snowiest for as long as such records have been kept. The 3 inches of snow put Monroe at 71.3 inches for the 2007-08 winter season. The record from 1978-79 was 70.15 inches of snow.
So, now that the record has been reached, all of the snow will, right?

Especially during a winter like the one weve had this year, theres only so many creative ways to say its snowing hard outside, schools are closed and people are busy digging out with their shovels and sliding into ditches with their cars.
