MONROE - Sophomore Reily Pond scored a goal in the 20th minute and the Cheesemakers' defense made it stand up as the Monroe High School girls soccer team shut down Lodi for a 1-0 win on Tuesday at Honey Creek Park.
The game was scheduled to be played at Lodi, but was moved to Monroe since the Blue Devils' field was not playable.
Pond's goal came on an assist from sophomore Morgan Seffrood.
