OREGON - Zak Roskos, Sam Hakes and Ian Schildgen each scored two goals to power Oregon to an 11-1 win over the Monroe boys hockey co-op on Friday.

The Panthers outshot the Avalanche 63-10.

The lone goal for the Avalanche (0-4) came from Colton O'Connor, who scored on a power-play goal on assists from Payton Stauffacher and Tyler Johnson at the 10-minute, 24-second mark in the third period.

"The past few games we have been steadily improving," Monroe coach Josh Smith said. "Tonight we just couldn't get into a groove and get anything going. We started flat and just couldn't get our speed up."

Oregon scored three goals in the first period and broke the game open with five goals in the second period.

Roskos scored the first goal on assists by Lucas Hefty and Matthew Strassman early in the first period. Moments later, Tyler Damon scored a goal to extend the Panthers' lead to 2-0. Schildgen scored a power-play goal at the 5-minute mark in the first period to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead.

Senior Daniel Guilliams had 29 saves and freshman Heath Bear had 23 saves for the Avalanche.
