WAUNAUKEE - The Monroe boys tennis team swept Badger North rival Waunakee in seven games Tuesday, winning all 14 sets to continue its early-season court dominance.
Finish exchange student Lauri Juolena impressed again at No. 1 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Matt Lee also won each game in the No. 3 singles match.
Carson Root won 6-2, 6-1, at No. 2 singles and Eric Knudtson won 6-0, 6-1.
Artem Beer and Jim Kundert worked hard in the No. 1 doubles match, winning 6-2, 6-1. Pat Gellings and Garrett Tschanz won 6-2, 6-0, at No. 2 doubles and Mark Hoesly and Dan Becker cleaned up at No. 3, winning 6-0, 6-1.
The Cheesemakers host Sauk Prairie, the preseason pick to win the Badger North, on Thursday.
