STEVENS POINT - Eleven individuals representing Monroe High School and the community attended the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association/Rural Mutual Insurance Sportsmanship Summit on Dec. 7 in Stevens Point.
Those attending from Monroe High School were Rachel Meier, Madison Katzenberger, Ally Einbeck, Olivia Bobak, Nick Benkert, David Keegan, Nate Smith, Kyle Walter, Charles Pempleton, Activities Director Jeff Newcomer and Principal Chris Medenwaldt.
In attendance at the Summit at the Holiday Inn & Convention Center were 101 teams from 91 high schools throughout Wisconsin representing all divisions. Each school was represented by a team or teams of students, school administrators, coaches, school board members and/or community leaders.
The mission of the Sportsmanship Summit was to strengthen the principles of sportsmanship by promoting teamwork through networking and the sharing of resources, and instilling the motivation to make a difference.
