POTOSI 65, PECATONICA 52

POTOSI — Second-chance points for Chieftains led to a win, as the Viking’s defense had an off-night.

“We didn’t react well on the defensive side and had trouble boxing out,” head coach Linda Hendrickson said. “We allowed too many second-chance points. The rims were not friendly to use, with many of our shots rimming out. At times the girls played competitively, we just need to be more consistent.”

Chloe Schraepfer scored a team-leading 19 points, going 9-for-10 from the free-throw line. Anna Tisch trailed with nine points, five of which came from the charity stripe. Half of Bri Peterson’s eight points also came at the line. Maddie Hirsch and Diana Hendrickson chipped in seven points each, while the remaining two came from Paige Toay.
